Jasper got snagged by the Purina gang while making his brief adventure out into Snowpocalypse 2008. Vote early, vote often. (Although I think they should've gone with this one instead.)

We've got nearly seven inches here on Sunnyside, and it doesn't show any sign of letting up tonight. With slightly warmer temperatures forecast, tomorrow could spell the end of the dense snowpack, but at this close to freezing things could stay ugly for a while. Here's a walk around the neighborhood while it was reasonably navigable this afternoon.

Mice may be responsible for a blaze that killed nearly 100 cats at an animal shelter near Toronto, officials say.

Jasper and I are busy fortifying the back entryway.

Dear Comcast,

Please stop advertising about how you've got more HD television* than the "other guy", on stations that you do not carry in HD.

*as long as you count very old on-demand movies, pay-per-view crap, and reruns of recent network TV episodes.

Dear Dish Network,

Please stop advertising about how you carry all the best channels in HD, the channels the "other guy" doesn't carry, on channels that are being broadcast by Comcast in HD.
